Wet processing specialist CDE is delighted announce the appointment of Engineering Director Sean Kerr to the board of Directors of the Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA). Installation took place during C&D World, Las Vegas on Wednesday 8th March.

Speaking about his appointment Sean Kerr says, “I began discussions with CDRA in early 2016 and this led to CDE exhibiting at C&D World in San Jose in May 2016. Throughout my experiences with CDRA I have been hugely impressed by the values and commitment of CDRA and its members to making a difference in the C&D recycling sector and I am excited to bring CDE’s experience to the sector in North America.”

CDE designs wet processing equipment which is used in construction & recycling applications, in particular in the processing & recycling of excavation waste, earth waste and crushed concrete. The company has a strong environmental ethic and has through its products and services demonstrates a strong background in reuse, rework & recycling, enabling C&D waste to be processed into recycled aggregates which can be reused. Each year CDE customers divert over 11 million tones of C&D waste from landfill across the world.

As a board member Sean will work alongside the CDRA President, executive directors, board members and lead figures in the sector to promote and defend the environmentally sound recycling of Construction and Demolition (C&D) material through a diverse and unified voice of members committed to sustainability.

The Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 1994 to promote and defend the environmentally sound recycling of more than 500 million tonnes of construction and demolition (C&D) materials generated in the United States annually. These materials include concrete, asphalt, asphalt shingles, gypsum wallboard, wood, cardboard, plastics and metals. The CDRA represents a diverse group of member companies and agencies from the many C&D materials recycling disciplines and industry specialties active in the United States and other countries.
