Congratulations to our client Walter Feess from Heinrich Feess GmbH for receiving Europe’s most coveted environmental award (Deutscher Umweltpreis) from the German Federal Environmental Foundation at their annual Building Materials Recycling Day.
A model to the industry for his dedication to applying modern methods to the treatment and recycling of waste, Walter Feess, who received the award also made a presentation on the incorporation of recycled materials into concrete alongside Holcim, another CDE client.
The company recycles concrete, asphalt and building rubble in the region of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. In collaboration with CDE, Heinrich Feess GmbH developed an innovative recycling model under the Candy Project (supported by the EU Eco-Innovation Programme) for construction, demolition and excavation waste.
By adopting ultra-performant CDE washing systems, the company has been producing high value recycled sand and aggregate products.
