Last week the CDE Meta (the dedicated mining division within CDE) and CustomCare teams joined our regional team in MENA to showcase CDE’s wet processing solutions at their first major exhibition in the UAE at The Dubai Mining Show Dubai. This was CDE's first time attending the show, and with over 100 sponsors – CDE was a Silver Sponsor - and exhibitors present, CDE took centre stage displaying our latest screening solutions, making it an energising experience for everyone involved. This resulted in a busy two days for the team in what was a wonderful event.
A Global Reach
With over 2,000 visitors attending from 86 participating countries including Oman, Turkey, Nigeria, Sudan and many more across the Middle East and Africa Regions, CDE showcased their H2-60 Infinity™ screen, which was the showstopper at the event. The 4.5 X 1.5M double-deck screen caught the eye upon entrance to the exhibition hall, attracting lots of visitors to the stand, all keen to learn more.
The H2-60 Infinity™ Screen
With its weld-free design prolonging operational life and strong but light galvanised side walls; the screen efficiently separates up to three fractions without any risk of product cross-contamination. It can generate the same acceleration as conventional screens, whilst the unique design of the eccentric shaft further removes unnecessary weight, reduces power consumption and ensures the efficient transfer of energy to the material. The CDE-patented U-Span cast cross members, in combination with the construction of the side walls, deliver higher specific stiffness that prolongs the working life of the screen.
And We Didn’t Stop There…
With 150 speakers participating at the show, our MENA Regional Manager, Ruchin Garg led presentations on silica applications, whilst CDE Head of CustomCare, Martin Jackson spoke about CDE's innovate Core Technology explaining “in CustomCare, we hand control back to the customer, by giving them the tools they need to monitor their plant throughput in real time (CORE SmartTech), adding an interactive operator manual in their handheld device (CORE Workflow), and tying everything into a 3D parts catalogue (CORE 3D) to make working with CDE as easy as possible”.
Our Head of Business Development Manager, Darren Eastwood, also delivered a keynote address and roundtable discussion with some prominent figures on opportunities to gain value from mining waste.
Having a strong, talented workforce with the relevant skills behind the CDE B10 stand played a key role when meeting and greeting visitors; this became a valuable advantage in learning more about customers’ demands and needs. Most interestingly, the materials our visitor's process primarily fall within the expertise of our Meta team and ranged from gold, copper, and bauxite.
We also showcased our Primo solutions to visitors interested in the wet processing of sand and gravel. Our water management solutions were also of great interest to those in attendance, in particular, the AquaCycle™ thickener which can recycle up to 90% of wastewater. Continuous interest from attendees built the momentum at the show and through extensive conversations, CDE was able to present and offer solutions to new and existing customers and showcase its impressive equipment.
