DEWATER & RECOVER YOUR 'WET WASTE'

Solid liquid wastes or wet wastes are by-products of essential infrastructure maintenance and excavation, each requiring specialised handling to manage their complex mix of solids, liquids, and potential contaminants. These materials, though often overlooked, hold significant environmental and resource recovery potential when properly processed and recycled.

Our proven waste recycling solutions clean and dewater many wet wastes including:

Our dewatering solutions are engineered for:

  • Reduced Disposal Costs: Since disposal fees are often based on volume or weight, the reduced volume of dewatered waste directly translates to lower disposal costs.
  • Resource Recovery: Dewatering can separate valuable sand & aggregates from the waste stream, turning a 'waste' product into a potential revenue source.
  • Environmental Protection: By separating solids and liquids, dewatering prevents harmful contaminants from leaching into groundwater or surface water. It also makes it easier to treat the liquid effluent, ensuring it meets environmental regulations before being discharged.
  • Improved Handling and Transportation: Dewatered solids are easier and safer to handle and transport. They are less messy, less prone to spills, and can often be stacked or stored more compactly than their liquid or slurry counterparts.

HYDRO EXCAVATION WASTE AND NDD MUDS

This waste is 60% water and 40% solids, so waste disposal facilities treat it as expensive and challenging liquid waste, which means hydro excavation trucks must travel long distances to find legal dump sites. Some contractors solidify their slurry with sawdust to make it acceptable as solid waste, but this adds weight, making the process inefficient and costly.

We provide tailored hydro excavation waste dewatering solutions that recover up to 85% of the solid material. We make onsite processing viable, practical, and cost-effective. As a result, our customers no longer need to transport potentially toxic substances, reducing costs and minimising risks to public health and the environment.

  • Create revenue streams-  Recover clean, dewatered fractions of sand, stone, and aggregates that can be sold as low-grade construction materials such as backfill.
  • Minimise risks- Eliminate the legal and environmental risks associated with hydro excavation waste disposal.
  • Create better control-  Exercise greater control over your waste, reducing transport times and your reliance on third-party disposal facilities.
  • Lower your costs- Recover valuable, reusable materials from slurry, significantly reducing the weight of your output materials and, therefore, disposal costs.

Our HYDRO:TIP™ solid liquid tipping system allows for fast and safe tipping of solid liquid wastes and results in quick and easy offloading for maximum efficiency and minimum downtime, allowing tankers to get back on the road faster. When combined with CDE washing technology, the HYDRO:TIP offers maximum dewatering and processing of slurried waste materials to produce clean, reusable sand & aggregates for reuse in the market.

Road Sweepings

Each year, our plants process over 500,000 tonnes of road sweepings made up of sand, wood, plastic, paper, silt, aggregates & glass, at our customers’ sites across Australasia, UK & Ireland, Europe and North America.

Our high-efficiency materials recovery and recycling systems substantially reduce waste to landfills and maximise the production of consistent, commercial-grade products from a variety of waste streams.

They divert large proportions of this material from landfills and produce optimum quality recycled aggregate, with a wide range of further uses including:

  • High quality recycled concrete
  • Road fill
  • Landscaping
  • Pipe bedding

Solutions like our G:MAX dual stage wet processing guarantees repeatability, reduces contamination in output, regardless of feed contamination, produce washed grit suitable as a non-structural fill secondary aggregate.

Wastewater Sludge & Tankered Waste

Our D:MAX mobile screening and classification unit allows you to remove grit, rag and other solids from waste streams including:

  • sewage sludges
  • sewer cleanout residues
  • tank cleaning residues

The D:MAX delivers segregated, dewatered grit and rag stockpiles for reuse or disposal. Refined sludge can then be used to improve bio-digester efficiency, or for further treatment free from solids contamination.

It offers a swift return on investment, durability, rapid deployment, environmental benefits, and enhanced safety.

Removing grit and rag creates substantial cost savings at every stage of the downstream process. In addition, it reduces maintenance costs and downtime, maximises tank capacity, and slashes waste transport costs.

OUR SOLUTIONS FOR RECOVERING SOLID LIQUID WASTE

HYDRO:TIP™ Solid Liquid Tipping System- Placed into the ground for direct feed of solid liquid materials. When combined with CDE washing technology, the HYDRO:TIP offers maximum dewatering and processing of slurried waste materials to produce clean, reusable sand & aggregates for reuse in the market.

D:MAX™ Mobile Screening & Classification Unit- Can be easily moved around a number of sites if required, facilitating processing in-situ at a variety of locations. This minimises the transport movements required to bring waste material to a processing site and recovers 80% of grit meaning less waste to dispose of.

G:MAX Dual Stage Wet Recycling System- With all essential processes being housed onto one chassis, the G:MAX is an all-in-one wet processing system. The G:MAX has an integrated hopper for direct feeding, a split screen for separating products and a control panel on board.
