Thursday 27 September marked another milestone for CDE as we officially opened our North America Headquarters in Cleburne, Texas. The new facility, located near the Dallas-Fort Worth area was acquired by CDE Global Inc. in March 2018 to become the main office in the United States to serve the North American market, our fastest growing strategic region.
The CDE North American adventure began in 2012, with our first office opening in Cary, North Carolina in 2013. The Cary office was opened to meet the increased demand from the North American market, enabling us to work much closer with our local customers. Following a sustained period of growth in the region, the decision was made to open a new North American Headquarter to support the North Carolina office, and this journey was complete on Thursday 27 September 2018.
A Key Investment for CDE
With close to 50 CDE projects in the US and almost 20 in Texas alone, Cleburne is the perfect base from which to continue our growth in the US and indeed North America. Commenting on the opening of the new North American Headquarters, Darren Eastwood Business Development Director explained, "North America is our highest potential growth region. For CDE to continue growing and serving our customers, we must be directly in their markets. This is a significant investment in the North American marketplace and the start of a series of investments for the company across its 8 key regions.”
The new North American Headquarters will see Engineering, CustomCare, Business Development, Technical Support, and Marketing personnel serving the local customer base, while there are plans to double this team over the next 12 months. The new facility in Cleburne boats ample office space along with a lecture room which will facilitate many customer workshops and masterclass events, enabling us to share our years of wet processing research and knowledge with the local market. A fully stocked warehouse with spare parts for the North American market is also part of the new facility.
A New World of Resource
The official opening event began with a Primo masterclass which was presented by Darren Eastwood. Darren was joined in the new lecture room by Kevin Vallelly, Director of Engineering to showcase the latest wet processing solutions for the North American sand and aggregates market. This masterclass looked at some of the CDE product solutions currently on the market and highlighted the value that a customised, modular approach can bring.
Darren Eastwood also detailed the new features of the CDE Combo™ all-in-one wet processing system, a first for the industry. The Combo™ is a modular, high tech solution for manufactured and natural sands designed with the needs of the North American market in mind. It uses high-efficiency cyclone-based processing plant and an unrivalled water management system making it one of the most effective and efficient material & water treatment plants on the market.
The attendees could also see the CDE Infinity™ Screen technology as we exhibited some of our screening solutions as part of the opening ceremony. Following the official opening, Tom Houston, Director of CustomCare presented the new CDE Connected Plant Technology. showcasing the new technology available for our customers to ensure maximium performance of their CDE equipment.
A day of celebration ended with three CDE customers, Collier Materials, Badger Mining and Resolve Aggregates being recognised as "World Class Customers" during a special presentation.
