In this episode, our host Lauren McMaster is joined by a new panel of regional CDE washing experts; Jason Hartmann who oversees Eastern Australia, Bassem Idris, our Head of Operations for the Middle East and Africa and Chris Hillis, our Head of Technical Engineering.
The panel discusses industrial sands, more commonly known as specialist sands. One such specialise sand is silica sand is a very versatile material and has uses in a wide range of applications, including glass making construction, foundries, filtration and sports arenas.

The first episode of the new TalkingTons vodcast sees our host Lauren McMaster joined by three of our regional experts, Eunan Kelly who oversees Europe, Regis Marty who focusses on the French, Belgian and Swiss markets, and Garry Stewart who manages Ireland.
In this episode, the team discusses quarry waste, and how the industry has evolved in its view of overburden, scalpings and crushed rock fines and that quarry operators are now seeking to process this material to reduce the volume of quarry byproduct that is being stockpiled.
The conversation also explores the opportunities that the industry has to extend the life of a quarry, and the environmental benefits of processing this material in moving products up the value chain and reducing carbon emissions.
